We made fifty plastic masks of a very familiar face for a TVC shoot. China's minimum order starts in the thousands. The client needed fifty, fast.

We sculpted him in 3D from a flat, single-colour logo. Vacforming means every surface has to release cleanly from the mould, and his ears and hair fought us the entire way. We 3D printed the tool, vacformed the lot in clear plastic, cut the eyeholes, and hand-painted every single one. His glasses alone were a mission.

The briefs that don't fit a factory floor are usually the most interesting ones.
